Mungkin itu harus diperjelas lagi ya, karena mungkin, banyak dari media atau teman-teman di media sosial yang mengira kami baru bekerja sama, baru-baru ini. Itu nggak. Kami bekerja sama itu sekitar dua tahun yang lalu,” kata Awkarin, di Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Senin (29/6/2026) malam.
Awkarin juga menegaskan, tidak mengetahui sumber dana yang digunakan Hanania Travel saat memberikan fasilitas endorsement maupun uang saku kepadanya. Menurutnya, hal itu sepenuhnya menjadi ranah penyidik.
“Mungkin kita nggak tahu pastinya seperti apa. Itu penyidik yang tahu, untuk aliran dana atau apa pun yang digunakan pada saat kami di-endorse atau barter pada 2022. Apakah ada aliran dana atau uang untuk endorse kami berasal dari jemaah atau apa pun itu, kami tidak tahu menahu,” tuturnya.
Untuk memperjelas kronologi, kuasa hukum Awkarin, Artahsasta menyebut keberangkatan umrah Awkarin berlangsung pada 2022, jauh sebelum kasus dugaan gagal berangkatnya ribuan jemaah mencuat.
“Biar supaya jelas, keberangkatannya Ibu Karin itu tanggal 29 Juli 2022, pulang tanggal 9 Agustus 2022,” pungkas Artahsasta.
