Jakarta – Meraih suatu predikat kala prosesi sakral wisuda, tentu menjadi kebanggaan tersendiri bagi mahasiswa. Ketika menerima predikat tersebut, semua mata tentu akan tertuju pada dirimu.
Hal itulah yang dirasakan, Farras Ulinnuha, lulusan program studi (prodi) S1 Kedokteran kelas International Undergraduate Program (IUP) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) angkatan 2021. Farras, panggilan akrabnya, berhasil meraih predikat wisudawan termuda di usia 19 tahun 8 bulan 17 hari ketika usia rata-rata lulusan S1 kala itu adalah 22 tahun 6 bulan 15 hari.
Ikuti Program Akselerasi Sejak SD
Rahasia untuk menjadi wisudawan termuda ternyata sudah dipersiapkan Farras sejak duduk dibangku SD. Ia mengaku memang waktu sekolahnya lebih cepat dari teman-teman seusianya.
Diceritakannya bila ia masuk SD di usia 4,5 tahun. Melalui program akselerasi atau percepatan waktu belajar, ia berhasil mengikuti ujian nasional masuk SMP saat berada di kelas 5 SD
Kebijakan akselerasi kala itu masih diperbolehkan oleh dinas pendidikan, sehingga ia tak membuang kesempatan. Berhasil lulus, pendidikannya berlanjut ke jenjang SMP secara normal dan mengambil program akselerasi lagi di jenjang SMA.
“Saya masuk SD masuk umur 4,5 tahun, berlanjut ke SMP 3 tahun, dan kemudian saat SMA saya hanya menyelesaikan 2 tahun,” tuturnya dikutip dari laman resmi UGM, Sabtu (6/12/2025).
Mulai Kuliah di Usia 16 Tahun
Selesaikan tiga jenjang pendidikan awal dengan cepat, membuat Farras juga masuk kuliah di usia 16 tahun. Saat teman-temannya masih berstatus anak SMA, status berbeda yang dilakukannya tentu membawa tantangan.
Tantangan terbesar datang dari aspek adaptasi di lingkungan baru, budaya, dan dinamika pertemanan. Mengingat teman-temannya mayoritas berusia lebih tua.
“Di awal kuliah, penyesuaian berjalan tidak selalu mulus, tetapi perlahan saya menemukan ritme yang tepat,” ceritanya.
Ia mengaku beruntung berkuliah di prodi Kedokteran UGM. Rekan-rekan sejawatnya membuat lingkungan yang inklusif, sehingga bisa cepat menyesuaikan diri.
Selain itu, ia juga terkenal sebagai sosok yang aktif dan suka mempelajari hal baru di luar kelas. Farras sempat bergabung dengan organisasi Asian Medical Students Association (AMSA) dan Center for Indonesian Medical Students Activities(CIMSA).
Tak hanya itu, ia juga pernah dapat kesempatan masuk ke ruang operasi bersama seorang dokter ortopedi. Pengalaman ini akan terus diingatnya bahkan pasca lulus dari UGM.
Farras juga menceritakan alasannya ketika mengambil prodi Kedokteran IUP UGM. Ia mengungkapkan memang sudah tertarik pada dunia kedokteran sejak kecil.
Saat kecil, Farras kerap menemani ibunya yang bekerja di rumah sakit. Tak hanya itu, ia juga suka membantu pada klinik milik keluarganya.
Untuk itu, ia berharap prestasi yang dicapainya ini bisa memberikan dampak baik. Ia ingin melanjutkan profesi dokter ketika kembali pulang ke Lampung yang merupakan kampung halamannya dan berbakti kepada masyarakat.
“Jadi dari dulu saya sudah familiar dengan dunia kedokteran. Saat tahu UGM, saya pikir saya bisa belajar disana dan ingin jadi dokter agar tingkat layanan kesehatan di Indonesia bisa lebih merata,” katanya lagi.
Kini sudah selesaikan pendidikan jenjang S1, Farras berharap kisahnya bisa memotivasi mahasiswa lainnya. Ia berpesan agar mahasiswa bisa terus semangat dalam mengerjakan hal apapun.
“Semangat. Dulu aku juga sempat desperate, tapi sekarang Alhamdulillah bisa lulus. Intinya semua orang punya timeline-nya masing-masing, jadi tetap semangat dan lakukan yang terbaik,” pungkas Farras.
